During trading today, both the Financial sector (XLF) and the S&P500 showed little movement.
United States Gasoline Fund (UGA) fell 99.5% to close at 24 cents, crossing its 50-day moving average of $48.71. Meanwhile, PNC Financial Services (PNC) climbed 2.9% to close at $61.41, moving past its 200-day moving average of $60.59.
Shinhan Financial Group (SHG) rose 1.1% to close at $66.97, approaching its 50-day moving average of $67.73. It has also moved closer to its 200-day moving average of $72.07. ProShares Ultra Oil & Gas (ETF (DIG) rose 2.5% to close at $39.74, getting closer to its 200-day moving average or $43.50.
American Independence (AMIC) was a major loser in the sector. Its price dropped 15.8% (-95 cents) to close at $5.05, as 13,740 shares moved. The stock traded in a range of $5.03 to $5.75.
Meta Financial Group (CASH) was a major gainer in the sector, rising 5.4% (+$1.10) to close at $21.47 with 5,287 shares moving. The stock traded in a range of $20.40 to $21.47.
Berkshire Hathaway (NYSE:BRK.B) hit a new 52-week high today, reaching $84.41 to top the previous high of $83.88.
