Services Sector Wrap

During trading today, the Services sector (IYC) showed little change while the S&P 500 fell 0.9%.

The ETF, as a proxy for the sector, tracked closer to the overall market today than over the past month. Entering today's trading, IYC was up 1.6% over the last thirty trading days while the S&P 500 climbed 0.8%.

Country Syl Ckng Restaurant Chain (CCSC) rose 7.6% to close at $7.50, cross its 50-day moving average of $7.44 and 200-day moving average of $8.86. Destination Maternity Corporation (DEST) declined 19.6% to close at $17.54, moving below its 50-day moving average of $20.81 and 200-day moving average of $18.65.

PriceSmart (PSMT) rose 5.7% to close at $66.64, approaching its 50-day moving average of $66.69. It has also moved closer to its 200-day moving average of $69.74. NetGear (BWLD) fell 4.3% to close at $33.83, moving closer to its 50-day moving average of $32.85. Also, the stock moved closer to its 200-day moving average of $80.85.

LiveDeal (LIVE) was a major loser in the sector, falling 15.4% (-$2.23) to close at $12.27 with 56,993 shares moving. The stock traded in a range of $12.27 to $15.25.

AerCap Holdings N.V (AER) was a major gainer in the sector, rising 11.9% (+$1.33) to close at $12.48 with 1.6 million shares moving. The stock traded in a range of $11.99 to $12.97. Over the last three months, the stock has gained $1.68 (15.6%) from a price of $10.80 on April 12, 2012.

Susser Holdings Corporation (SUSS) hit a new 52-week high today, reaching $38.81 to top the previous high of $37.75.
