Services Sector Wrap

On a trading day that saw the S&P 500 gain 0.3%, the Services sector (IYC) showed little change.

MakeMyTrip (MMYT) was a major loser in the sector, falling 10.9% (-$1.79) to close at $14.64 with 101,203 shares moving. The stock traded in a range of $14.30 to $16.42.

AMC Networks (AMCX) was a significant gainer in the sector, rising 10.3%. The stock closed at $39.20 with 1.2 million shares moving. The stock traded in a range of $35.30 to $39.84. Shares are down over the last two months as the price has dropped $5.36 (-12%) from a price of $44.56 on May 3, 2012.

Home Inns & Hotels Management (HMIN) fell 4.9% to close at $21.55, crossing its 50-day moving average of $21.79. Meanwhile, WPP (WPPGY) climbed 3.1% to close at $62.73, moving past its 200-day moving average of $61.35.

Chipotle Mexican Grill (CMG) rose 0.9% to close at $383.46, approaching its 50-day moving average of $403.77. It has also moved closer to its 200-day moving average of $389.65.

Gartner (IT) hit a new 52-week high today, reaching $45.09 to top the previous high of $44.97.

Rovi Corporation (ROVI) hit a new 52-week low today, hitting $18.68 to fall below the previous low of $19.01.
