Abercrombie & Fitch (ANF) was a major gainer in the sector, rising 8.4% (+$2.64) to close at $34.14 with 5.2 million shares moving. The stock traded in a range of $32.45 to $34.70. Accenture (ACN) also gained today, climbing $3.46 (+6.1%) to close at $60.09.
LiveDeal (LIVE) was one of the sector's big losers, as its price dropped 7% (-90 cents) to close at $11.96. 262,065 shares of the stock moved. The stock traded in a range of $11.07 to $13.57.
AirMedia Group (AMCN) fell 6.7% to close at $2.38, crossing its 50-day moving average of $2.47.
Genesco (GCO) rose 6.2% to close at $60.15, approaching its 50-day moving average of $64.67. It has also moved closer to its 200-day moving average of $66.58.
MAXIMUS (MMS) hit a new 52-week high today, reaching $51.93 to top the previous high of $48.87.
