While the S&P 500 grew 0.9%, the Capital Goods sector (XLI) showed little movement during trading today.
The ETF, as a proxy for the sector, tracked closer to the overall market today than over the past month. Entering today's trading, XLI was down 2.5% over the last thirty trading days while the S&P 500 climbed -0.4%.
Lindsay Corporation (LNN) was a major gainer in the sector, rising 10% (+$5.62) to close at $61.89 with 671,828 shares moving. The stock traded in a range of $57.77 to $63.58. The stock is down over the last two months, having fallen $4.90 (-7.3%) from a price of $66.79 on April 30, 2012.
Cleantech Solutions International (CLNT) was a major loser in the sector, falling 6.7% (-18 cents) to close at $2.48 with 88,057 shares moving. The stock traded between $2.24 and $2.60.
STR Holdings (STRI) declined 2% to close at $4.31, moving below its 50-day moving average of $3.95 and 200-day moving average of $5.91.

ENGlobal Corporation (ENG) hit a new 52-week low today, hitting $1.39 to fall below the previous low of $1.40.
