On a trading day that saw the S&P 500 gain 0.5%, the Services sector (IYC) showed little change.
The ETF, as a proxy for the sector, tracked closer to the overall market today than over the past week. Entering today's trading, IYC was down 1.4% over the last seven trading days while the S&P 500 climbed -2.7%.
Sonic Automotive (SAH) was a significant gainer in the sector, rising 11.3%. The stock closed at $13.53 with three million shares moving. The stock traded in a range of $12.49 to $13.59.
