Deltic Timber (DEL) declined 3.2% to close at $56.59, moving below its 50-day moving average of $57.87 and 200-day moving average of $62.42. USEC (USU) rose 25.1% to close at 95 cents, crossing its 50-day moving average of 78 cents.
Braskem (BAK) rose 4.5% to close at $11.59, approaching its 50-day moving average of $12.29. It has also moved closer to its 200-day moving average of $15.23. RBC Bearings Incorporated (MON) fell 3% to close at $46.05, moving closer to its 50-day moving average of $45.47. Also, the stock moved closer to its 200-day moving average of $76.01.
The Eastern Company (EML) was a significant gainer in the sector, rising 9%. The stock closed at $18.90 with 18,913 shares moving. The stock traded in a range of $17 to $18.90.
Sun Hydraulics Corporation (SNHY) was a major loser in the sector, falling 6.8% (-$1.53) to close at $21.07 with 140,802 shares moving. The stock traded in a range of $20.87 to $22.48. The stock has lost momentum over the last three months, losing $7.75 (-26.9%) from $28.82 on March 16, 2012.
Scotts Miracle-Gro (SMG) hit a new 52-week low today, hitting $35.49 to fall below the previous low of $39.99.
