Consumer Cyclical Sector Wrap

During trading today, both the Consumer Cyclical sector (XLY) and the S&P500 showed little movement.

Exceed (EDS) was a major gainer in the sector, rising 7% (+20 cents) to close at $3.05 with 181,458 shares moving. The stock traded in a range of $2.91 to $3.19.

Cascade Corporation (CASC) was a major loser in the sector, falling 5.8% (-$2.71) to close at $43.80 with 196,930 shares moving. The stock traded between $43.20 and $45.35. The stock has lost momentum over the last three months, losing $8.24 (-15.8%) from $52.04 on March 7, 2012.

Rocky Brands (RCKY) rose 4.6% to close at $12.98, cross its 50-day moving average of $12.96 and 200-day moving average of $11.79.

Spartan Motors (SPAR) rose 5.5% to close at $4.43, approaching its 50-day moving average of $4.51. It has also moved closer to its 200-day moving average of $5.03. Pool Corporation (POOL) fell 2.1% to close at $35.34, moving down to 2.6% above its 200-day moving average of $34.43.

Visteon Corporation (VC) hit a new 52-week low today, hitting $37.36 to fall below the previous low of $38.32.
