Euroseas (ESEA) was a major loser in the sector, falling 13.6% (-25 cents) to close at $1.59 with 396,882 shares moving. The stock traded in a range of $1.55 to $1.85.

USA Truck (USAK) was a major gainer in the sector, rising 6.5% (+42 cents) to close at $6.87 with 2,725 shares moving. The stock traded in a range of $6.37 to $6.98. The stock has lost momentum over the last three months, losing $1.63 (-19.2%) from $8.50 on February 8, 2012.

Genesee & Wyoming (GWR) rose 3.4% to close at $56.65, cross its 50-day moving average of $55.17 and 200-day moving average of $57.43.

SkyWest (SKYW) rose 4.8% to close at $9.34, approaching its 50-day moving average of $10.15. It has also moved closer to its 200-day moving average of $11.70. StealthGas (HOS) fell 4% to close at $6.05, moving closer to its 50-day moving average of $6.03. Also, the stock moved closer to its 200-day moving average of $36.39.

US Airways Group (LCC) hit a new 52-week high today, reaching $11.12 to top the previous high of $10.94.
