Allied Nevada Gold (ANV) was a major loser in the sector, falling 10.7% (-$3.05) to close at $25.40 with 2.1 million shares moving. The stock traded in a range of $25.36 to $28.65. Over the last three months, the stock has lost $9.60 (-27.4%) from a price of $35 on February 8, 2012.
