Increasing 15.2% (+$2.31) to close at $17.51, TOR Minerals Int\x27l (TORM) was a major gainer in the sector. Today, 52,424 shares traded hands. The stock traded in a range of $16.67 to $17.85.

NF Energy Saving (NFEC) was a major loser in the sector. Its price dropped 11.9% (-27 cents) to close at $2, as 242,045 shares moved. The stock traded between $1.86 and $2.35.

Omega Flex (OFLX) rose 11.7% to close at $13.51, cross its 50-day moving average of $12.89 and 200-day moving average of $13.80. Allegheny Technologies Incorporated (ATI) declined 0.7% to close at $42.30, moving below its 50-day moving average of $41.25 and 200-day moving average of $44.48.

Balchem Corporation (BCPC) rose 4% to close at $28.90, approaching its 50-day moving average of $29.01. It has also moved closer to its 200-day moving average of $34.97.

Methanex Corporation (MEOH) hit a new 52-week high today, reaching $35.49 to top the previous high of $34.90.
