The Technology sector (XLK) showed little movement while the S&P 500 gained 1.4% during trading today.
Although it went in the opposite direction of the market today, the ETF tracked farther from the overall market today than over the past month. Entering today's trading, XLK was down 2.1% over the last thirty trading days while the S&P 500 was down 1.7%.
ABB (ABB) fell 4.3% to close at $19.35, crossing its 50-day moving average of $20.20. Meanwhile, Unisys Corporation (UIS) climbed 20.1% to close at $19.70, moving past its 200-day moving average of $19.69.
QIHOO 360 Technology (BVSN) fell 1.5% to close at $22.83, moving closer to its 50-day moving average of $22.80. Also, the stock moved closer to its 200-day moving average of $23.16. Universal Display Corporation (PANL) rose 6.9% to close at $40.52, getting closer to its 200-day moving average or $41.18.
Dynamics Research Corporation (DRCO) was one of the sector's big losers, as its price dropped 13.2% (-$1.21) to close at $7.99. 228,616 shares of the stock moved. The stock traded in a range of $7.84 to $8.82. The stock is down over the last three months, having fallen $3.38 (-29.7%) from $11.37 on January 27, 2012.
