Great Northern Iron Ore Properties (GNI) was a significant gainer in the sector, rising 10.2%. The stock closed at $72.00 with 84,694 shares moving. The stock traded in a range of $66.24 to $74.68. Banner Corporation (BANR) also gained today, climbing $1.78 (+8.6%) to close at $22.44.
Camden National Corporation (CAC) climbed 3.2% to close at $32.83, moving past its 200-day moving average of $32.43.
Alliance Data Systems Corporation (SFG) fell 0.6% to close at $127.22, moving closer to its 50-day moving average of $125.12. Also, the stock moved closer to its 200-day moving average of $36.99. Enstar Group (ESGR) rose 3.1% to close at $94.35, approaching its 50-day moving average of $96.58. It has also moved closer to its 200-day moving average of $97.34.
Mesa Royalty (MTR) was a major loser in the sector. Its price dropped 5.6% (-$1.75) to close at $29.70, as 20,915 shares moved. The stock traded in a range of $29.30 to $31.80. Shares are down over the last two months as the price has dropped $13.40 (-31.1%) from a price of $43.10 on February 24, 2012.
Horizon Bancorp (HBNC) hit a new 52-week high today, reaching $23.49 to top the previous high of $22.
