NEW YORK -- Retail stocks fell on Monday after electronics retailer RadioShack Corp. gave a fourth-quarter outlook that fell short of Wall Street expectations. It also said its Chairman and Chief Executive Julian Day is retiring. RadioShack shares plunged 11%. The S&P Retail Index fell 0.2% to 501.09. Among the gainers, J.C. Penney Co. shares rose 4.7% after the department store operator named activist investor Bill Ackman and Steven Roth of Vornado Realty Trust to its board and announced a series of store closing and other restructuring moves.
