TOKYO -(Dow Jones)- Toyota Motor Corp. (7203.TO) has decided to temporarily suspend operations at its 12 plants in Japan, on concerns that heavy snowfall at the group's main production base in Aichi Prefecture, central Japan will disrupt auto parts delivery from suppliers as well workers commuting there, a company spokesman said Monday.

The auto maker started the production suspension from Monday's afternoon shift. It plans to resume operations from Tuesday morning.
