Stock futures were pointing to a higher opening after officials at the G-20 pledged to avoid competitive currency devaluations.
Here are some early-market movers for Monday.
CommScope Inc (NYSE: CTV)
The communications equipment company confirmed it was in talks to be acquired by the Carlyle Group for $31.50 per share. While no deal has been finalized, shares surged 33.2% in pre-market trading.
Changyou.com Ltd (NASDAQ: CYOU)
The Chinese Internet company posted third-quarter earnings of 85 cents per share beating expectations of 81 cents per share. Revenue of $85.6 million also beat analyst estimates of $82.1 million sending shares up 9.4% in pre-market trading.
Office Depot Inc. (NYSE: ODP)
Shares of the office products retailer were up 5.8% in pre-market trading after saying it now expects to report earnings of two cents per share versus a loss of two cents per share expected by analysts. CEO Steve Odland will also step down on Nov 1.
Citigroup (NYSE: C)
The financial services company was added to Goldman Sachs’ "conviction buy list" sending shares up 3.2% in pre-market trading.
Sinovac Biotech Ltd. (NASDAQ: SVA)
Despite being selected by the Beijing CDC to provide flu vaccine, shares slipped 9.1% in pre-market trading after the biopharmaceutical company lowered its fiscal year 2010 earnings guidance below current expectations.
Carrizo Oil & Gas Inc. (NASDAQ: CRZO)
The energy company said its third-quarter production rates fell below expectations citing pipeline expansion delays. Shares were down 4.6% in pre-market trading.
