Sally Beauty (NYSE:SBH), distributor and retailer of a wide array of professional beauty products including L’Oreal and Clairol, has acquired beauty products distributor Aerial for $70 million in an effort to expand its presence in the US.

The acquisition will extend Sally subsidiary Beauty Systems Group’s distribution reach and portfolio of beauty product offerings, the company said in a statement.

“The addition of Aerial will compliment BSG’s portfolio and expand its geographic footprint in the Midwest, directly supporting our objective to grow Sally Beauty Holdings over the long-term,” said Sally Beauty CEO Gary Winterhalter.

With more than 700 workers, Marinette, Wisconsin-based Aerial saw net revenue last year of $100 million. The company has a second distribution center in Lincoln, Nebraska.
