Jo-Ann Stores (NYSE:JAS) recalled 1,800 roll-up blinds due to risk of strangulation, adding itself to a list of those recalling some 50 million Roman blinds and shades recalled in December.

The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission said consumers should immediately stop using the Bamboo Roll-up blinds with valances and call the nearest Jo-Ann store for a full refund.

The product was sold in nationwide Jo-Ann Fabric and Craft Stores from April to December 2009.

Though no injuries have been reported, strangulation can occur when the lifting loop slides off the side of the blind and a child’s neck becomes entangled, or if a child places their head between the lifting loop and roll-up blind material.
