Ceragon Networks (NASDAQ:CRNT) was trading 9% higher Monday after it announced new orders for its advance FibeAir platforms from a leading Indian operator.

The provider of high-capacity 4G/LTE-Ready wireless backhaul networks will deploy its equipment in a number of circles to facilitate its client’s network expansion.

“We are very happy to see that the regulatory process related to security considerations in India is in place and orders are beginning to be released by operators as they receive clearance from the Indian government,” said Ceregon CEO Ira Palti.

India’s mobile subscriber base has grown to over 635 million, with more than 110 million added in the first half of this year.

Israel-based Ceragon provides advanced hybrid and all-IP solutions to many of India's leading mobile operators.

The country continues to expand its wireless backhaul market, as more than 94% of telephony services in India are passed over wireless networks, according to the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India.

The company expects to recognize revenue from the orders in 2011.

Shares of Ceragon were up 9.3% to $8.50 in midday trading.
