Cardica Inc (NASDAQ: CRDC)
The cardiac surgery system manufacturer came in just below estimates reporting a loss of 13 cents per share while analysts had estimated a loss of 12 cents but announced a deal with Intuitive Surgical Inc selling rights to certain robotics technology. Shares surged 45.1% in pre-market trading.
Phoenix Technologies Ltd (NASDAQ: PTEC)
Shares of the software company jumped 24.1% in pre-market trading after the company said it would be acquired by Marlin Equity Partners for $3.85 per share.
Jazz Pharmaceuticals (NASDAQ: JAZZ)
Shares were up 9.7% in pre-market trading after FDA documents indicated that the company’s fibromyalgia drug may be effective.
Life Technologies Corp. (NASDAQ: LIFE)
The biotechnology company agreed to acquire Ion Torrent systems in a deal which could reach $725 million if all milestone payments are hit. Shares fell 19.4% in pre-market trading.
La-Z-Boy Inc (NYSE: LZB)
Shares of the furniture manufacturer dipped 6.9% in pre-market trading Wednesday following first-quarter results reporting zero earnings per share which was in-line with estimates and revenue of $263.3 million which came in slightly below estimates of $263.81 million.
PennantPark Investment Corp (NASDAQ: PNNT)
Dilutive pressure drove shares down 6.7% in pre-market trading after the company announced a public offering of four million shares.
