Walt Disney Co. (DIS) announced Friday a replacement to take the reigns from Steven McPherson as president of the ABC Entertainment Group.
Paul Lee, former head of ABC Family, will take the reigns from McPherson, who abruptly resigned Tuesday after a six-year tenure.
The new position gives Lee oversight of all creative and business operations for ABC Studios, as well as control of ABC Entertainment’s development, programming, marketing and scheduling operations.
Lee, who joined ABC Family in 2004, previously served as chief executive officer and founder of BBC America.
