Tupperware Brands Corp (TUP)
The home ware and beauty-aid company posted second quarter results below expectations late Monday reporting non-GAAP earnings of 93 cents per share while analysts had estimated earnings of 97 cents per share. The company also provided lower-than-expected guidance for the third quarter and shares fell 13.2% in pre-market trading Tuesday.
Cirrus Logic Inc. (CRUS)
Shares of the integrated circuit manufacturer fell 8.3% in pre-market trading despite beating first-quarter expectations. The company reported non-GAAP earnings of 29 cents per share on revenue of $81.9 million. Analysts had estimated earnings of 28 cents per share and revenue of $81.24 million.
Zions Bancorp (ZION)
Shares were down 7.8% in pre-market trading Tuesday after posting a larger loss than expected late Monday. The company reported a loss of 84 cents per share while analysts had estimated a loss of 54 cents per share.
Atheros Communications Inc. (ATHR)
Shares of the chip maker declined 7.2% in pre-market trading after announcing it would acquire Opulan Technologies Corp. in China for $72 million.
Texas Instruments Inc (TXN)
The semiconductor company posted mixed second-quarter results after the bell Monday reporting earnings of 62 cents per share in-line with estimates while revenue of $3.5 billion fell slightly short of analyst estimates of $3.52 billion. Shares slipped 5.7% in pre-market trading Tuesday.
RadioShack Corp. (RSH)
Shares of the electronics retailer fell 6.7% in pre-market trading on reports that sources familiar with the situation indicate the Blackstone Group and TPG Capital may not pursue a possible bid for the company.
