1J.C. Penney [JCP]
J.C. Penney said its comparable-store sales jumped 3.1% on a year-to-year basis over the holiday season. Sales climbed 2% in the fiscal fourth-quarter in the first increase since the second quarter of 2011. Wall Street cheered the glimmers of hope for the struggling retailer, bidding the shares up 5% in the pre-market.
Facebook is turning 10 today. And the world's biggest social network plans on rolling out a series of mobile apps to complement and enhance its current offerings. Thus far, traders are joining in on the celebration as shares tick up by 1%.
3Boston Scientific [BSX]

As it is World Cancer Day, I’m going with a medical company: Boston Scientific. The company posted higher earnings and sales. Boston Scientific says its sales of implantable devices – specifically, ones that work on irregular rhythms of the heart – increased during the quarter.
4Michael Kors [KORS]
Michael Kors sewed up a big fiscal third-quarter beat and also posted a considerably stronger-than-expected full-year outlook. The shares of the fashion company are spiking more than 20% in pre-market action.
After sustaining a downgrade from Bank of America Merrill Lynch Monday, UBS upgraded Zynga to "buy" from "neutral," according to Reuters. The shares are zipping higher by 6% in the pre-market.
