SAN FRANCISCO – Tech stocks were mostly on the rise in early trading Wednesday, with Amazon.com Inc. among the advancers. Amazon shares rose 2% to $339.39 after Goldman Sachs analyst Heath Terry added the company to his conviction list and maintained a buy rating on the stock. Synaptics Inc. was also a big gainer, as it shares climbed 27% to $84.45 after the touchscreen technology company said it would buy smartphone and tablet chimpmaker Renesas SP Drivers for $475 million. The Nasdaq Composite Index shed 8 points to 4,329.
