Losing your signal when driving through a dead zone can make or break a deal for an on-the-go small business owner. To help boost the signal, a slew of companies offer gadgets for both laptops and cell phones. 

If you are one of the millions to use an iPhone, then Wilson Electronics’ iBooster may be for you. The cradle booster and its car antenna promise to reduce dropped calls, extend the range of the signal and increase data rates. The company also sells one for the Blackberry Curve and a universal model that works with all phones and carriers. The list price for the iBooster is $289.95, but you can get it online for around $235.

Car Desk

In a “perfect world,” all of your work would be done in the office, but in reality much of it is done in the car. If your car pooling to work, it means you and four other passengers can connect to the Internet from this one device. Verizon’s MiFi 2200 device locates a Verizon wireless network, enabling you to have broadband connection. Plans start as low as $39.99 a month.
