Printing via Tablet and Traveling with Twitter

USA-WEATHER

Print from your wireless handheld device without the hassle of complicated cords.  Verizon and RedBox are making strides to keep you entertained. It’s now really easy to enjoy the highlights of Fashion Week without worrying about airfare. This great site collects all of Twitter’s travel buzz. And JetBlue fliers will want to check out their new app.

Just Press Print

Wouldn’t it be great if you could print anything from your iPhone or iPad, or even your iPod touch, without having to attach any cords or drivers, or spending a few Franklins? Well, now you can.

Kudos on this one goes to Canon (NYSE:CAJ), who just introduced two new AirPrint printers, adding to the three other models released last September. But these new ones come with an even better price tag, ranging an estimated $100 to $150. The PIXMA MX512 and the MX432 Wireless2 Office All-In-One inkjet printers come equipped with AirPrint. AirPrint allows anyone with an iPad, iPhone, or iPod Touch to send their selected photos or documents to the printer, sans wires.

So Happy Together

Verizon (NYSE:VZ) and Redbox (NASDAQ:CSTR) are joining forces, which means that soon there will be more video viewing options for the rest of us. Redbox will still carry its new-release DVD and Blu-Ray discs at convenient locations, while Verizon will be offering streaming video service via smartphones, tablets, and television sets sometime later this year.

Fashion Week from Afar

Those who would love to be a part of Fashion Week, but just can’t make it to New York in time, have the option to see a big part of the festivities, for free. This year, YouTube and Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week are working together to bring the runway to web. More than 25 shows will be live-streamed here.

And, some big name brands will be streaming their collections via their websites and Facebook pages, so make sure you check in with them. The fun starts at 9a.m.ET sharp on Feb. 9.

JetBlue fans can easily find and view their itinerary, flight status, and in-flight entertainment information on the app, and a new feature called “Pick Me Up,” sends the person on the other end of your flight your itinerary with directions to the airport.
