“This year as in many years past we are offering all veterans who come into any of our 1,700 restaurants around the country a free stack of our red, white and blue pancakes. So it’s our world famous buttermilk pancakes with glazed strawberries, whipped cream and blueberry,” said IHOP President Darren Rebelez to the FOX Business Network’s Maria Bartiromo.
For the first time, IHOP is partnering with the Children of Fallen Patriots Foundation to help raise money for kids who lost a parent in the line of duty.
“We found that everyone… across the country supports the military [and] wants to find a way to help and support these families who’ve really given the most of all of us for our country,” said Fallen Patriots CEO David Kim.
IHOP, whose philanthropic efforts have included partnerships with the Children’s Miracle Network, the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society and the Shriners has raised over $25 million for charity since 2005 according to Rebelez.
