Bill O'Reilly's Take on Protests at Trump Rallies

During an interview on the FOX Business Network’s Varney & Co., Bill O’Reilly, host of Fox News Channel’s “The O’Reilly Factor” and co-author of “Killing Reagan,” discussed how recent protests at GOP frontrunner Donald Trump’s campaign rallies could impact his presidential campaign.

“Short-term [they] help him,” O’Reilly said. “Long term, it depends on how things go. People understand that this far-left crew that invaded in Chicago and is now kind of stalking him are not the kind of people that they approve of.”

He added: “Trump might even be seen as a little bit sympathetic here. All he’s trying to do is try to have a rally and tell the folks what he thinks and all of a sudden you have these guys trying to shut down his speech… that’s not what we’re about here in America.”

O’Reilly told Stuart Varney he thinks there is an aspect of this story that is being overlooked.

“The national media coverage totally ignores the organized capacity of these demonstrations,” O’Reilly said. “It comes out of a crew called ‘MoveOn.Org’—the farthest left website you could possibly imagine, funded by George Soros. Those are the guys that organized and excite and agitate here. Why wasn’t that reported?”
