  • 1. Ernst & Young

    Ernst & Young

    Ernst & Young offers both paid maternity and paternity leave to new parents, and gives up to 39 weeks of paid maternity leave. The firm also provides childcare vouchers for 12 months after maternity leave. 

  • 2. Cisco

    Cisco Systems (CSCO) provides six months of paid maternity leave according to a survey from Care.com. One reviewer on careers website Glassdoor referred to the company as "One of the most mothers friendly companies ever."

    Google (GOOG) employees that give birth can receive up to 18 weeks of paid leave. Other caregivers who do not give birth, like those who adopt, can receive seven weeks of paid leave and 12 weeks if they are the primary caretaker. The tech giant also offers a free premium membership to the babysitting website Care.com (CRCM).

    Hewlett Packard (HPQ) offers 20 weeks of paid maternity leave. According to reviews from career website Glassdoor, new fathers can take up to two weeks of paid paternity leave.

    Yahoo (YHOO) offers 16 weeks of paid maternity leave and eight weeks of paid paternity leave. The company also offers $400 in "baby cash" to shop for groceries, diapers and other baby necessities. Yahoo's CEO Marissa Mayer famously returned to work just two weeks after giving birth and reportedly had a nursery built in her office.
