Recalls this week include hand vacuum accessories, baby bassinet, motion lamps

Attachments for a hand vacuum are being recalled because of a defective interior fan that can break out of the housing unit. Other recalled consumer products include a baby bassinet and motion lamps that look like a coral reef.

HAND VACUUM ACCESSORIES

DETAILS: The vacuum accessory was sold with the Dirt Devil Scorpion Turbo Quick Flip Hand Vac. The accessory is made of plastic. It is clear, but has a yellowish green color, and has a black turbine fan and black brush roll with white bristles. Printed on the label at the bottom of the hand vacuum, is the word "Royal," model number "08225" and a five-digit manufacture date code ending in 12A U, 13A U, 13B U or 14B U. Customers can continue to use the Dirt Devil hand vacuum without the attachment. They were sold for about $30 at home improvement stores nationwide and online at Amazon.com, Walmart.com and other retailers from January 2012 through February 2015.

WHY: The interior fan of the Turbo Tool accessory can break, posing a laceration risk.

INCIDENTS: Six reports of the Turbo Tool accessory breaking. No injuries have been reported.

BABY BASSINET AND CRADLE

DETAILS: This recall is for the 2-in-1 Bassinet to Cradle. It was sold in pink, blue, green and white. The recalled model numbers are 439-A, 439-B, 439-G, 439-P and 439-W. They can be found on a tag which is located under the mattress pad of the bassinet, but that tag is removed prior to use. They were sold for about $60 at Amazon.com, Walmart.com, Wayfair.com, ToysRUs.com and Kohls.com from May 2012 to October 2014.

WHY: The wire frame can fall, dropping fabric over the baby. Customers will get a repair kit.

INCIDENTS: One report of an incident where the wire frame support bracket failed and the fabric portion of the bassinet collapsed while an infant was asleep in the cradle. No injuries have been reported.

HOW MANY: About 13,000.

SNOWBOARD BINDINGS

DETAILS: Flow 2014 Flite-series snowboard bindings that boots are inserted into. The recalled ones have model names Flite, Haylo, Micron Youth, Flite LTD and Flite MTN. The bindings have a snap lock on the rear, a cable adjustment dial on the side of the baseplate, a matte texture finish on the baseplate and a glossy "Flow" and Flow's logo. They are available in four different colorways: black; black and white; black, white and blue; or black, white, blue and yellow. "Flow" is printed on the side of the bindings.

WHY: A pin can come out and cause the binding to open, posing a fall hazard.

INCIDENTS: 30 reports of the pins coming off. No injuries have been reported.

HOW MANY: About 10,400.

FAKE AQUARIUM LAMPS

DETAILS: The Aquarium Lamp lights up and is meant to look like a tropical coral reef. The plug-in lamp contains no water. Lights illuminate colorful fish and dolphins that swim back and forth, and the lamp is framed by a glass mirror frame. The lamp case and stand are made of plastic. Style 45458 is printed on the original box. They were sold for $30 from the The Bits and Pieces catalog and at www.bitsandpieces.com from September 2014 through January 2015.

WHY: The lamp can overheat and spark when plugged in, posing a fire hazard.

INCIDENTS: 11 reports of it overheating or sparking when plugged in. No injuries have been reported.

HOW MANY: About 3,600.

CHILDREN'S PAJAMAS

DETAILS: Children's onesies and two-piece pajamas with the KTM motocross logo on them. The Baby Racing Body onesies comes in three different styles. One is orange with white sleeves and has the KTM brand logo on the left chest. The second is white and orange with the KTM brand logo in bold orange printed on the center front of the chest and on the left and right hip. The third is yellow with orange and black detailing and the KTM brand logo printed on the left. All onesies are long-sleeved and have snap closures from the neck to the left ankle and were sold in sizes 18 months to 2T.

The Kids Racing Gear pajamas is a two-piece, long-sleeve and pant pajama set. They were sold in white with black, orange and grey detailing on the top and pant with a black elastic waistband and KTM printed on the left side of the chest and sold in sizes 2T through 5T.

The Kids Gravity Gear pajama two-piece set is white with blue and orange detailing on the top and pant with an elastic waistband in orange and KTM printed on the left side of the chest and on the right hand wrist. That set was sold in sizes XXS through L.

All were sold for between $28 and $32 at authorized KTM motorcycle shops nationwide from August 2012 through January 2015.

WHY: The pajamas fail to meet federal flammability standards for children's sleepwear, posing a risk of burn injuries to children.

INCIDENTS: None reported.
