Tweet Business of the Day: My Corporation

Who: Dana Case, 34, director of operations @MyCorporation

What: A document filing services company that helps entrepreneurs form corporations or limited liability companies (LLC).

When: 2009

How: CEO Deborah Sweeney was working as a counsel to the 14-year-old business when it was acquired by software company Intuit in 2004, Case said. In 2009, Sweeney purchased the company, bringing it back to its small business roots.

Where: Calabassas, Calif.

In her own words: "It's always been more small business like," Case said. "We are nimble and have a small-family feel; there's not a lot of turnover and many of the employees have been here for years."
